“In your desperate state, He captivates”
This is the word that God rested on my soul one morning prayer.
Sometimes in our journey with Christ we get to a point where we want what we want and we want it now. Desperation is a strong urge and easy to fall into it.
Sometimes we get desperate and want to take bold risks to fill in that desperate state. It gets to a point where we don’t care about the consequences and just think about the instant gratification.
But God reminded me that in our desperate state, that’s when He captives. When we feel desperate in life, He knocks on the door of our hearts and says to turn all that desperation into an intense passion for Him.
It’s that feeling of desperation that leads us to make a mess of things and then suffer the aftermath of those consequences.
But if we take the time that we spend on dreaming about the things we want but shouldn’t have and planning on how to get those things, if we take that time and shift it to a focus on asking Jesus what He wants us to accomplish in our lives now, our perspective will change.
Ask God to make your desperation a turn for His presence, ask God to make it a turn for the things that come from Him.
Pray This Prayer To Him
Thank you, God, for catching me and snapping me out of the trance of wanting the things/people that will only bring out the worst in me, even if I don’t see now why I can’t have it, I know that what you have for me is way better and it will be worth sacrificing those things for You. “For you, God, know the plans you have for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me, plans to give me hope and a future.”
